Musical Director - Anne Evans

WW2, teaching at Bishops Diocesan College Preparatory School in Capetown and the prestigious St John's College in Johannesburg, singing in the highly acclaimed chamber choir Chanticleer Singers and the SABC Chamber Choir as a  resident soloist under their Director, Richard Cock.

Anne moved to Kenya with her husband's job, and joined the thriving music life in Nairobi which was buzzing with United Nations personnel who added enormously to the music scene by  sharing their multicultural abilities. There was plenty of opportunities to conduct the Nairobi Music Society's choir and orchestral in works such as the Messiah, Bach's Christmas Oratorio, Nelson Mass, Solomon and Mendelssohn's Elijah, when she wasn't on call as a soloist for the heftier works such as  Verdi's Requiem and Elgar's 'Dream of Gerontius'.

Returned to England Anne settled in Henley-on-Thames where she had the pleasure of forming chamber groups with friends and musicians, such as the 'Coppice Chorale' and 'Handel with Care' while raising money for local and national charities. These groups finally merged and Aliquando Chamber Choir was born!
